Setting Up

Upon launching Bump, users will be guided to set the specific pieces of contact information they are willing to share. To transfer data between devices using Bump, both parties require the app installed on their respective phones. Performance

Despite boasting a unique and intriguing concept, Bump's reliability has been called into question. Our testing suggested inconsistencies in the success rate of transfers - taking up to six or seven attempts before a successful data transmission from a HTC Desire to a Legend. The app also includes a sensitivity setting feature, however, increasing the sensitivity often led to the app opening up at every slight movement of the phone, not necessarily when bumped with another device.
